This Privacy Policy explains how FeederFolk ("FeederFolk," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit feederfolk.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account or submit personal information to read the Site, and we do not currently operate any contact forms, newsletters, or comment sections. The information we receive comes from two sources:

• Server and hosting logs. Our web host automatically logs standard technical data for every visit, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. This is used only for security and basic server operation, not for tracking individuals.
• Cookies you accept via our cookie banner. See "Cookies and Similar Technologies" below.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site shows a cookie notice on your first visit. Accepting it sets a single local storage flag in your browser so the notice doesn't reappear — it does not, by itself, track you across the web.

We plan to monetize the Site through display advertising and affiliate links, both of which use cookies from third parties:

• Advertising (Ezoic). Once our advertising partnership with Ezoic is active, Ezoic and its certified advertising partners may set cookies and use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your browsing activity. • Affiliate links (Amazon Associates and similar programs). Links to retailers such as Amazon are tagged with an affiliate ID. When you click one, the retailer may set a cookie on your device so that, if you make a qualifying purchase, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We don't see or store your purchase details — that happens entirely on the retailer's site. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more.

We do not currently run any analytics or visitor-tracking software (such as Google Analytics) of our own. If that changes, we will update this policy to name the tool and the cookies it uses.

Your Privacy Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we don't collect personal data beyond standard server logs and cookie-based advertising described above, most requests will simply involve directing you to the relevant advertising partner's own opt-out tools. Contact us using the details below with any request.

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (a category that can include cookie-based advertising, even though no money changes hands). You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To opt out of interest-based advertising cookies, use the ad network's own opt-out tools linked above, or contact us directly.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how sites should respond, so the Site does not currently change its behavior based on this signal.

Children's Privacy

The Site is a general-audience backyard birdwatching resource. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the Site and its hosting environment, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information transmitted to or through the Site.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site's advertising and affiliate relationships evolve — for example, once our Ezoic application is approved and ads go live, or if we add an analytics tool. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes will be reflected here; we encourage you to check back periodically.
